Memorial Day

Today is Memorial Day, a day to remember those who have served our country and a day for grilling meats. We feel pretty good about having done both.

It was a busy day for the little man. I have been sick all weekend but the husbandit has done a great job of taking care of me and Giddy. This morning he blew up the new baby pool and we took it for a test drive, after slathering on a thick layer of baby sunscreen of course. Initially Gideon was not enthused but after Mac heated the water some, he was much more relaxed and even splashed and kicked. I think it will be a lot more fun for all of us when he can sit up on his own, but I am impatient.



As a reward for humoring mommy and daddy in the baby pool Gideon got to play in his jumperoo for 30 whole minutes! During this time he and Mac devised a game where Mac would jump, then Gideon. It was cute. As you can see, he still has sunscreen on his head.
