Story time

We recently started attending story time at the local libraries.  Gideon likes it because he gets to spend the entire time trying to get into the supply closet (that or escape the story time room so he can run amok in the library).  SIIIIIIIIGH

We got a bubble cannon.  I fear Gideon may never close his mouth again.

Goodbye Bun Bun

Mac found a baby bunny in the road.  I named it Bun Bun and fell in love with it, then I had to give it up to a rescue.  Heart = broken.

Tastes Like Chicken

Someday I may have to explain to my son why some people are allowed to get married and others aren't. I may have to admit that there are people who make a distinction between love for straight people and love for gay people. It could be that I have to look him in the eyes and tell him that we used to bar the mixing of blacks and whites, owned other people as property, and forbade women to attend school. It is likely that I will have to tell him that fear and money can sometimes seem more powerful than acceptance and love. 

But at least I will be able to tell him that today we chose to eat at KFC (and it was delicious).
